ද ලාස්ට් ඔෆ් ද මෝහිකන්ස් (The last of the Mohicans)වීර කාව්‍ය සම්ප්‍රදායට අනුකූලවම කරන ලද ඓතිහාසික ගනයේ තවත් එවැනිම චිත්‍රපටයක්. 1757 ප්‍රංශ සහ ඉන්දියානුවන්ගේ යුද්ධය අරඹයා 1992 දී Michael Mannගේ අධ්‍යක්ෂණයෙන් තිරගතවූ මෙය James Fenimore Cooperගේ නවකතාවක දෘශ්‍ය පරිවර්තනයක්. එහි ප්‍රධාන භූමිකාව, මෝහිකන් ගෝත්‍ර නායකයාගේ හදාගත් සුදු ජාතික පුත්‍රයා වන නතෑනියෙල් පෝ ලෙසින් රංගනයේ යෙදුනේ Daniel Day-Lewis. ඔහු කඩවසම් නළුවෙක්. චිත්‍රපටය බොක්ස් ඔෆිස් වාර්තා බිඳ හෙලමින් ආදායම් උපයන්නට සමත් වුණා. එහෙත් මේ චිත්‍රපටයApocalypto චිත්‍රපටයට අලඟු තියන්නට හෝ හැකියාවක් ඇති එකක් නෙවෙයි. කිසිදු විශේෂත්වයකින් තොරව ඇදී යන්නාවූ සාමාන්‍ය ගනයේ චිත්‍රපටයක්. 
The last of the Mohicans හි සංගීතය Trevor Jones සහ Randy Edelman ගේ වුණත් ජනප්‍රිය වන්නේ චිත්‍රපටයේ සංගීතයට වඩා එහි තිබුණ අපූරු ගීතයි. අයර්ලන්ත සහ ස්කොට්ලන්ත සංගීතය මේ චිත්‍රපටයට නවුම් බවක් ලාලිත්‍යයක් එකතු කර තිබුණා. චිත්‍රපටයේ වැඩිම ජනප්‍රියත්වයක් ලැබූ ගීතය වුනේ Clannad විසින් ගායනා කරන ලද "I Will Find You"ගීතයයි. Clannad අයර්ලන්ත සංගීත කණ්ඩායමක්. ඔවුන් අයර්ලන්ත ජන සංගීතය වගේම කෙල්ටික වාදී සංගීතය යොදා ගනිමින් ගී ගැයීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජනප්‍රියයි. නිවැරදිව ඔවුන්ව හඳුන්වනවානම්, කොටස් 26කින් සමන්විත රූපවාහිනී මාලා නාටයක් වූ ෂර්වුඩයේ රොබින් හුඩ් (1984-1986) වෙනුවෙන් සංගීතය සැපයූවේ ඔවුන්. මතකද ඒ මියුරු සංගීත ඛණ්ඩයන්. කිසිදාක එපා නොවෙන මියුරු සංගීත රටාවන්. දෑස් පියාගත් සැනින් රොබින්හුඩ් කථාන්තරයම නැවත නැවත රස විඳින් උත්තේජනයක් දෙන්නේ ඒ සංගීතයයි.
කැනේඩියානු, අයර්ලන්ත, ස්කොට්ලන්ත ජන සංගීතය බොහොම මනස්කාන්තයි. ඒවායේ තියෙනවා බොහොම අපූරු ගැමි කමක්. ඒ වගේම ලතාවක්. සංයමයක්. ඇත්තටම කිවුවොත් ලාංකික ගැමි සංගීතයට ඒවා බොහොම සමානයි. කෙල්ටික් සංගීතය මේ අතරින් ප්‍රධානයි. ඔවුන්ටම විශේෂිතවූ සංගීත භාණ්ඩත්, ඒවායෙන් උද්දීපනය වන අපූර්ව සංගීත නාදරටාවනුත් හරිම අපූරුයි. මේ අතරින් කෙල්ටික් හාපනය (celtic Harp) නමින් හඳුන්වන වීණා විශේෂත්, බැග්පයිපය (bagpipe), යූලියන් පයිපය (uilleann Pipes) රවිකිඤ්ඤය (Fiddle), ටින් නලාව (Tin whistle), මැණ්ඩලීනය(Mandolin) බීසොයොකිය (Bouzouki) නමින් හඳුන්වන මැණ්ඩලීනයට සමාන ග්‍රීක සංගීත භාණ්ඩයකුත්, එකෝඩියනය (Accordion), ඩෝල්සිමය(Hammered Dulcimer) නම්වූ තත් සහිත සංගීත භාණ්ඩද කැපී පෙනෙන ලෙස භාවිතා වෙනවා.
වර්තමානයේ මේ සංගීතයන් ඔස්සේ Clannad ට අමතරව Enya, Donna Taggart, Altan,Capercaillie, The Corrs, Loreena McKennitt, Riverdance හා U2 නිතර වේදිකාවේ සිටින ගායක කණ්ඩායම්. ඉන් මහත් ජනප්‍රියත්වයට පත්වී තිබෙන්නේ Clannad, Enya සහ Loreena McKennitt.
Loreena McKennitt ගේ The Mummers' Dance ගීතය ඇමරිකාවේ නොසිතූ විරූ ආකාරයට ජනප්‍රිය වූ ගීතයක්. ඇත්තෙන්ම ඒ ගීතය විශිෂ්ටයි කීවොතින් වැරදි නැහැ. සංගීතය වගේම ගීතයේ අර්ථයත් අපේ ආත්මයටම කිඳා බැහැල අපිව වෙනත් ලෝකයටක එක්ක යන්න මේ ගීතයට වගේම එහි සංගීතයටත් හැකිවෙනවා. ලොරීනාගේ හඬ ඊට දෙවෙනි නැහැ. කෙල්ටික සංගිතඥයන් තමන්ගේ පාරම්පරික සංගීතය අතනෑර තම අන්‍යතාවයන්ට ජීවය දීම පැසසිය යුතුයි.
